How can we help you?
We help our donors establish long-term charitable funds to benefit their causes and our community. Thanks to their generosity, we support Southeast Kansas communities with nonprofit grants, college scholarships, and other types of help.
We connect donors to needs
The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas exists to encourage charitable giving that benefits the common good and improves the quality of life for SEK residents.
We make charitable giving easy for the individuals, families, businesses, agencies, and organizations that choose to partner with us to fulfill their charitable-giving goals.

There is almost nothing that the Foundation can't do to help you be the best charitable giver you can be.

We provide funding for nonprofits
The Community Foundation offers a wide range of funding tools to help support churches, schools, nonprofit organizations, and government programs in Southeast Kansas and throughout the United States.
Our designated, field-of-interest, and donor-advised funds provide grants to nonprofits according to the fund creator’s instructions. Several of our funds hold annual grant cycles during which eligible organizations can apply for funding. And through an agency fund, we can hold and invest nonprofits’ own money for their future use.

Your support is very beneficial to us and the children in our community. Thank you!
Kandi Wilson, Chanute Public Library
We help students pay for college
The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas is home to more than a dozen scholarship funds that help local students pay for their post-secondary education.
Our scholarships are funded by individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses that believe in our area’s youth and support their pursuit of higher education.

I really feel supported by the community and feel like they’re cheering me on to complete my education!
Marissa Vail, Pittsburg State University 2024
We help advisors serve their clients
The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas partners with lawyers, accountants, investment professionals, and other professional advisors to fulfill their clients’ charitable goals.

We believe the Community Foundation to be a convenient vehicle to facilitate the achievement of our clients' charitable goals.
